Samsung unveils two new full touch mobile phones
SHOWCASE: Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announced the launch of two new full touch screen mobiles — the S5600 and S5230.

The Samsung S5600 has a 2.8-inch touch screen with 7.2Mbps HSDPA support, TouchWiz UI, a 3-megapixel camera and 80MB memory.
The S5600 is a 2.8-inch QVGA full touch screen phone with the TouchWiz User Interface. With it, mobile widgets can be dragged and placed on the screen for one-click access. The accelerometer sensor within makes it easier when surfing via its HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity.
There’s also the ‘Gesture Lock’ feature, where users can unlock the phone and execute the menu directly by drawing an alphabet letter on the screen. The S5600 comes with 80MB memory, microSD slot, 3-megapixel camera (with smile shot), music recognition feature and multi codec support (H.263, MPEG4, WMV).
The S5230 on the other hand, is slim at 11.9mm thin. It has a 3-inch WQVGA full touch screen, mobile widget support, and video recording features at QVGA reso and 15 frames per second. It has a 50MB memory with memory slot support up to 8GB.
Both phones are expected to go on sale in the ASEAN region by the 2nd quarter of 2009. No pricing info yet.
