SHOWCASE: LG Electronics has unveiled the world’s first LED 3D TV in the form of the LX9500 in Seoul, South Korea yesterday, and they will be available in 47- and 55-inch versions.
The LX9500 employs a backlight structure where LED panels illuminate from directly behind the screen (the 55-inch model has 1,200 LEDs). It is complemented by a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and TruMotion 400Hz (480Hz), which translates into the LX9500’s mesmerizing 3D picture.
It is also slim thanks to its INFINIA design. At only 22.3mm thick, the LX9500 also has a 16mm super-narrow bezel.
Of course, like any 3D TVs, the LX9500 requires shutter glasses (model: AG-S100). The glasses can be recharged via USB for up to 40 hours of viewing pleasure.
