HWM got invited by BlackBerry-maker Research in Motion (RIM) to San Francisco to attend its 3rd Developers Conference 2010 (held from 27-30 September 2010).

Among the highlights of the event is the unveiling of the BlackBerry PlayBook, a 7-inch tablet that RIM plans to launch in US in early 2011 and internationally by the second quarter of next year.

VIEWPOINT: Well, before we bid auf wiedersehen to the 50th edition of the IFA consumer electronics show, here’s a video summarizing some highlights from the showfloor and press conferences. It is by no means exhaustive, but it does give some general overview on what some of the key technology brands have unveiled and announced at the show.

VIEWPOINT: HWM was fortunate enough to be at the 50th IFA consumer electronics trade fair in Berlin, Germany. The show itself, which runs from 3-7 September, is one of the biggest CE fairs in the world and is often compared with CES and Computex.

One of the highlights of the show is the launch of the Galaxy Tab “smart media device” by Samsung in a special media conference in Berlin on 2 September. HWM managed to record the media Q&A session with key execs from Samsung with regards to the Galaxy Tab. This video was made on September 3.
